David Fryzel, MD, is a native of the Greater Scranton Area. He completed his undergraduate education at the University of Scranton, where he majored in Biochemistry, Biology, and Philosophy, while also in the Honors Program. He graduated magna cum laude and first out of his biochemistry major. He subsequently attended medical school at The Penn State College of Medicine at the Hershey Medical Center. He stayed at the Hershey Medical Center to complete his surgical internship, before starting his anesthesiology residency at Geisinger. After completing his residency, Dr. Fryzel became a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology by way of board certification.

Dr. Fryzel practices in nearly all aspects of anesthesiology. He has published and presented in areas of advanced airway, pediatric anesthesia concerns, and trauma. He is currently an assistant professor of anesthesiology. He is experienced and has particular interest in Office Based Anesthesia.

Dr. Fryzel enjoys motocross, exercise, and alpine skiing. He is a PSIA Level III instructor and race coach at Montage Mountain Resorts. He resides in Lackawanna County with his wife, Dr. Mary Grace Rizzo-Fryzel, DMD, daughters Adelyn and Aloise, and two Giant Schnauzers Hans and Otto.

Dr. Fryzel is the medical director for the Office Based Anesthesia program and consulting physician. He is available to answer all questions related to anesthesia practice at Electric City Dentistry.
